Data, Governance & BI

Data Powers Technology & Process

When data is at the heart of everything teams do, it will drive better decisions and business performance.

Data Governance

Data governance is like the rulebook for managing data within an organization. It encompasses the policies, procedures, and standards that ensure data is handled properly, stays accurate, and is protected.

Data governance is critically important for any growing organization - and it is foundational in any merger or acquisition. A failure to establish clear data governance will inevitably lead to downstream problems.

Good data governance ensures that data is not just a byproduct of business activities, but a strategic asset that can drive business growth.

Business Intelligence

Business Intelligence (BI) uses data to uncover insights and help make smarter decisions. It involves tools and techniques to analyze data, visualize trends, and generate reports. Common BI visualization platforms include Tableau (Salesforce), PowerBI (Microsoft), Domo, Looker and Klipfolio.

Imagine you're trying to understand why sales dipped last quarter—BI tools sift through the data, spot patterns, and present findings visually in a way that's easy to grasp, enabling better strategy and decisions. BI is also extremely useful for bringing together data from multiple repositories and allowing for analysis and visualization.

Clean Data & Enrichment

  • The largest enterprises as well as the smallest startups collectively struggle to keep data accurate. Often, this is a function of poor data governance and a lack of controls as to how data enters their system. However, even those organizations with the most well-formed data governance will face challenges. “Dirty data” severely limits operational effectiveness as well as areas of future investment like artificial intelligence and automation.

Everpeak has spent years developing the process and technology tools to efficiently assess and clean data. Some of it is technology - some of it is staff augmentation “elbow grease.” All of it is hugely valuable to companies, non profits,  and organizations of all sizes.

Once data is accurate and clean, the next phase is often enrichment.  Data providers (i.e. ZoomInfo, Apollo, High Growth Insights) make prospect data readily available. The challenge is identifying your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) from within these vast data repositories. Everpeak uses your historical customer information to build a look-alike audience. We then enrich your CRM data to provide sales reps with a steady stream of qualified leads. The enrichment process also works within customer success to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
